  8. Note:  In these instructions, we assume that your CD-ROM drive
  9.        letter is D:.  Substitute the correct letter if the CD-ROM
  10.        on your system uses a different letter.
  11.  
  12. STEP I   -  SETTING UP VIEWER FOR SYMPOSIUM PROCEEDINGS
  13.  
  14.            To view the Symposium Proceedings, you will need Adobe 
  15.            Acrobat Reader.  If your PC has Adobe Acrobat Reader 
  16.            installed, you can simply launch the Reader and open 
  17.            the file:

  19.                  D:\handbook\0content.pdf
  20.  
  21.            If your PC does not have Adobe Acrobat Reader
  22.            installed, you can either access the Acrobat
  23.            Reader Runtime module from the CD-ROM or install 
  24.            Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC.

  26.            Following are specific instructions on installing 
  27.            Adobe Acrobat Reader from the CD-ROM.  Please select 
  28.            the Case that is appropriate to your PC.

  30.     CASE A  -  STANDALONE PC
  31.  
  32.                To install Adobe Acrobat Reader, from Program 
  33.                Manager select menu item File, then Run, then for 
  34.                Command Line enter:

  36.                    D:\acrobat\acro1630\setup
  37.  
  38.                Follow the directions for installing Adobe Acrobat
  39.                Reader 3.01.

  41.     CASE B  -  NETWORKED PC with SHARED WINDOWS 3.1x, NO WRITE
  42.                PRIVILEGES to the NETWORK WINDOWS SYSTEM DIRECTORY
  43.  
  44.                If your network does not have Adobe Acrobat Reader
  45.                installed, we recommend that you access the final
  46.                report using the Acrobat Reader Runtime module
  47.                from the CD-ROM.  Please refer to "Step II  
  48.                LAUNCHING THE COMPONENTS" later in this procedure.

  50.     CASE C  -  NETWORKED PC WITH LOCALLY INSTALLED WINDOWS 3.1x

  52.                If your PC or network does not have Adobe Acrobat 
  53.                Reader installed, you can either access the Acrobat
  54.                Reader Runtime module from the CD-ROM or install 
  55.                Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC.  Before installing
  56.                Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC, we recommend that 
  57.                you contact your Network Administrator to make sure
  58.                there will be no conflicts with the existing 
  59.                Network configuration.

  62.                Manager select the menu item "File", then "Run", 
  63.                then for the Command Line, enter:
