Manual Installation of the Fuel Cell Handbook 5th Edition
CD-ROM, Windows 3.1x
******************************************************************
Note: In these instructions, we assume that your CD-ROM drive
letter is D:. Substitute the correct letter if the CD-ROM
on your system uses a different letter.
STEP I - SETTING UP VIEWER FOR SYMPOSIUM PROCEEDINGS
To view the Symposium Proceedings, you will need Adobe
Acrobat Reader. If your PC has Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed, you can simply launch the Reader and open
the file:
D:\handbook\0content.pdf
If your PC does not have Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed, you can either access the Acrobat
Reader Runtime module from the CD-ROM or install
Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC.
Following are specific instructions on installing
Adobe Acrobat Reader from the CD-ROM. Please select
the Case that is appropriate to your PC.
CASE A - STANDALONE PC
To install Adobe Acrobat Reader, from Program
Manager select menu item File, then Run, then for
Command Line enter:
D:\acrobat\acro1630\setup
Follow the directions for installing Adobe Acrobat
Reader 3.01.
CASE B - NETWORKED PC with SHARED WINDOWS 3.1x, NO WRITE
PRIVILEGES to the NETWORK WINDOWS SYSTEM DIRECTORY
If your network does not have Adobe Acrobat Reader
installed, we recommend that you access the final
report using the Acrobat Reader Runtime module
from the CD-ROM. Please refer to "Step II
LAUNCHING THE COMPONENTS" later in this procedure.
CASE C - NETWORKED PC WITH LOCALLY INSTALLED WINDOWS 3.1x
If your PC or network does not have Adobe Acrobat
Reader installed, you can either access the Acrobat
Reader Runtime module from the CD-ROM or install
Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC. Before installing
Adobe Acrobat Reader on your PC, we recommend that
you contact your Network Administrator to make sure
there will be no conflicts with the existing
Network configuration.
To install Adobe Acrobat Reader, from Program
Manager select the menu item "File", then "Run",
then for the Command Line, enter:
D:\acrobat\acro1630\setup
Follow the directions for installing Adobe Acrobat
Reader 3.01.
Step II LAUNCHING THE COMPONENTS

If you are using the Acrobat Reader from the
CD-ROM, from Program Manager select the menu item
"File", then "Run", then for the Command Line, enter
the following:
D:\acrobat\installd\acrobat3\read16\acrord16.exe D:\handbook\0content.pdf
If you are using a network or locally installed Acrobat
Reader, launch the Reader and open the file:
D:\handbook\0content.pdf
